Flags of the World
Montessori Flags of the World is a learning activity that helps children to recognize and identify the flags of different countries and their geographic locations. It consists of a detailed map of the world printed on a board, and a set of 36 flags that correspond to some of the countries on the map. The flags are attached to wooden sticks that can be inserted into holes on the map. The back of the map has a control chart that shows the names of the countries and their flag images .
This activity is part of the Montessori Geography curriculum, which aims to foster children’s curiosity and appreciation for the diversity and beauty of the world. It also helps children to develop their visual discrimination, fine motor skills, memory, and vocabulary. Children can learn about the flags of the world in a fun and interactive way, using 3-part cards, matching games, drawing, coloring, and labeling activities
